When turning hollow forms, there is often a considerable overhang of the tool over the tool support which results in unfavourable leverage. This curved tool rest can be positioned so that it protrudes into the hollow mold. There are holes on the top of the curved tool support rail; these serve to accommodate an optionally available fork guide or a guide pin. A bar lying horizontally outside the workpiece serves as a hand and tool rest. Optionally, the hand support bar can also be replaced by an eccentric support rod (not included). This way the removal tool can be guided at an exact height in the case of hollow vessels with very small openings.
