This new ball cutter called "Ball Gouge" from the Australian manufacturer Arbortech is a spherically shaped angle grinder attachment that can be used to quickly create hollow, concave surfaces in wood projects.

The tool can be guided free-hand in a very controlled manner and offers exceptionally good balance and performance. The spherical cutting head with a diameter of 30mm is ideal for cutting cavities in wooden spoons or bowls and is suitable for small to medium-sized sculpting work.
The chip thickness limit prevents the tool from "digging" into the wood. It pops out gently when moved over a wooden surface, creating a chisel-like texture. The unique ring-shaped cutting edge is designed to sharpen itself during use, which significantly extends the life of the tool.

Attachment to standard angle grinders 100mm (4"), 115mm (4½") and 125mm (5").
