For secure clamping in bores with Ø 25mm. The cylindrical shaft has a diameter of 25mm which can be clamped in the appropriate 4-jaw chuck, collet chuck or drill chuck.Eccentric chucking spigot chucks are a safe way to clamp irregular wooden blanks or small components with holes such as bottle opener handles.
The principle is simple and ingenious:
An eccentrically drilled disc is attached to the end of a pin > The disc is knurled around its circumference > A hole in the diameter of the tenon is drilled into the wooden blank > The blank is now placed on the eccentric chuck and turned against the direction of rotation of the lathe > As a result, the eccentric knurled washer jams in the hole and holds the workpiece very securely.
