For drilling long holes in long woodwork. (e.g. lamp stand) There must be a hollow tailstock quill. The centre of the workpiece is marked on the front sides. The workpiece is clamped between a face driver and the drilled, live centre. The removable live centre is placed on the marking and the centring ring is pressed into the workpiece. Now loosen the quill, remove the point and clamp the workpiece with the centring ring in the indented notch. You can now drill through the tailstock from behind. The live centre can of course also be used as a normal revolving live centre with a centring ring. The scope of delivery includes 2 interchangeable tips, a shorter and a longer one. The longer tip is particularly suitable for very small workpieces.
