Product details
The Morse taper mount is clamped in the Axminster type C dovetail jaws. It is suitable for lathes without a morse taper mount and enables face drivers and other components with morse taper 2MT to be attached. It should be noted that with this component combination, four mechanical connections must be bridged (spindle-chuck / chuck-base jaws / base-jaw-top jaws C / top jaws C-2MT insert). Exact concentricity is hardly possible, as is the case with a MT mount directly incorporated into the spindle. The concentricity can be optimised by aligning (rotating) the MT insert in the C jaws.
