Product details
In contrast to the standard quill, this sliding quill has a longer quill stroke of 120 mm and lever feed instead of the handwheel. Such a design, also known as a drill quill, is suitable if a lot of drilling is to be carried out. This is useful, for example, in the manufacture of writing implements. Deep holes can be drilled “in one go” without having to reposition the tailstock. A depth stop can be set using an adjusting ring.
As offered here, the sliding quill can be used on the steinert® piccolo table lathe from machine no. 16/533 mountable. The tailstock must be modified on older machines.
