The scroll saw was specifically designed for precise and delicate sawing in a variety of materials. Our scroll saws from Hegner are ideal for sawing thin materials such as solid wood, plywood, ivory, metal and plastic. With these sawing tools, you can not only make straight cuts, but also tight curves with ease. The scroll saw consists of a U-shaped curved bow with a comfortable wooden handle and screw clamps at the ends. The scroll saw blade can be easily clamped and fixed between the clamps. The U-shape of the bow provides the necessary tension for the saw blade. To hold the workpiece securely, it is best to use a special holder with a V-shaped opening, which can be attached to a tabletop. When working with the scroll saw, hold the handle down and the bracket points away from the table. The workpiece is held by hand and turned in the desired cutting direction. The scroll saw allows for precise and detailed cuts, even in thin wood panels up to 6 mm thick. With a suitable saw blade, you can also cut thin sheets and plastic plates effortlessly. If necessary, a hole can be drilled to thread the saw blade into the workpiece.
