The Woodcut bowl saver is used to cut out one or more bowl blanks from a wooden bowl prepared on one side. This makes it possible to obtain several usable bowls from one piece of wood without having to machine the entire interior of a bowl. The Woodcut bowl cutter is a safe system because it is supported twice in the lower part of the hand rest and also in the tailstock. The exchangeable blades rest on a semicircular disc and are moved towards and into the workpiece using a long lever. This means that the turner's hands are no longer directly on the tool, but on the lever of a support-like device. The Woodcut bowl cutter has a small and a larger semicircular blade, each equipped with Stelite cutting edges. With the small blade you can cut out blanks up to a diameter of approx. 220mm and with the large blade up to a diameter of approx. 300mm.
