Scrapers are turning tools for finishing wood. A right-rounded scraper is used to machine the outside of a workpiece, e.g. a bowl. They are often used to remove imperfections left behind after using other turning tools. Scrapers remove small amounts of wood from the workpiece. They come in different shapes and thicknesses so that the right choice can be made depending on the shape and depth of the workpiece.
