These additional palm rest bars can be used on the curved tool rest. They are useful when the hollow shape is to have a particularly small opening. In this case there is usually only a small amount of freedom of movement for the tool. With an eccentric attachment, this hand support rod can be fixed in such a way that the tool can be guided through a small workpiece opening exactly horizontally and without obstacles.
